Sir John Adamson’s rugby pride

UNDER the guidance of coach Mickey Oosthuizen, Sir John Adamson High School has made its mark at the Golden Lions Rugby Union.

UNDER 16 GIRLS: Khanya Makhothi, Kamilah Haet, Precious Felix and coach Mickey Oosthuizen.

They had representatives, namely boys and girls from the u-16 and u-18 teams, selected to represent the Lions. The captain of the team was also included. This year, Sir John Adamson High School was the school with the most girls selected for the National Tournament that took place in Welkom during the July school holidays. The u-18 girls won two of their three matches at the tournament.

UNDER 18 GIRLS: Kefentse Molubi, Zesuliwe Mhlongo, Suphile Majodina, coach Mickey Oosthuizen, Sesihle Maguga (captain), Ofentse Pole and Andani Nemangaya.

For the first time in many years the school had a boy, Blaise Felix, selected to play for the Golden Lions Rugby Union u-18 Presidential Team.
