Cook this delicious chicken and cheese grill for dinner

Chicken and Cheese Grill – Serves four

Ingredients

4 chicken portions, skinned

2 garlic cloves, peeled and slivered

1 tablespoon butter

150ml water

Salt and pepper

Cheese sauce packet mix

300ml milk

75g Cheddar cheese

2 small packets plain crisps, crushed

Method

Make several incisions in the chicken flesh and insert slivers of garlic. Melt the butter in a large frying pan, add the chicken and fry quickly until golden brown on both sides. Add water carefully and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Cover with pan lid or tinfoil and simmer for 40 minutes until the liquid is absorbed, turning the chicken once during cooking.

Meanwhile, make the cheese sauce with the milk according to the packet directions. Place the chicken in an ovenproof dish and pour the cheese sauce over the chicken, grate the cheese over the top and sprinkle with the crushed crisps. Put under a low pre-heated grill for 10 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot with noodles or rice, and either green vegetables or a mixed green salad.
