2009 business break-in suspects arrested

BOOYSENS SAPS were able to arrest the second of two suspects who committed a business break-in on January 7, 2009.

It is believed that at the time of the break-in, the complainant was sleeping and he received a phone call from Chubb Security informing him about a business break-in at his company.

The complainant then woke up and went straight to his company. On his arrival he found that the front door was not broken. He went inside and found that the ceiling was damaged and a window at the back was damaged as well.

Due to the dedication of the Booysens SAPS, one suspect was then captured and sentenced to five years imprisonment.

WO van Staden continued to work on the docket and was able to arrest another suspect this year who was also linked to the break-in as well. Relevant documentation and statements were obtained and the suspect was sentenced to four years in jail.
